MEET THE SOUND BEHIND CREW FEST
CREWfest

Alt Punk
NO VISION
a 4 piece punk band from Detroit, Michigan, known for their high-energy performances and raw, unfiltered sound.
Sounds like getting kicked in the teeth by a basement show, in the best way. It’s punk with a smirk: fast, loud, a little snotty, and completely unbothered if you 'get it' or not.

Indie Punk / Midwest Emo
LOUDFOXCULT
A dynamic indie punk / midwest emo
adjacent band hailing from the Metro-Detroit area of Michigan. Known for our
2018 single “You’re Terrific,” we boast a unique sound and style that could not have developed without the countless years of close friendship and passion that that have been put into this project.
Sounds like Prince Daddy & The Hyena, Remo Drive, Riley!, Guitar Fight From Fooly Cooly, Jeff Rosenstock, Ovlov, Tiny Moving Parts, Rozwell Kid, Movements, Glocca Morra,
Combat, Oso Oso, Jimmy eat world

Crossover Thrash
COME OUT FIGHTING
A crossover thrash band established in Detroit MI, in 2008. Heavily influenced by 90's and 00's hardcore, they mesh these together with punk and melodic hardcore to create a unique sound.
Sounds like a clash of Comeback Kid, Defeater, Suicidal Tendencies, and Minor Threat.

Post Hardcore
GREAT PLANES!
A Detroit area post hardcore band that started forming around the fall of 2023. Dave Laginess(drums) and Ian Cruz(guitars/vocals) recruited Chris Lalonde(vocals/guitars) to play an At the Drive-in cover set for Halloween with some friends- with the intent of writing original material after. Over a year later of self-producing demos, they brought Alex Kirk in on bass. The result is a groove and hook laden blend of all sorts of core-adjacent sounds.

Sounds like working-class angst wrapped in chaotic harmony—with just enough groove to keep you moving.

Indie/Folk/Punk
CARMEL LIBURDI
a singer-songwriter from Detroit, MI who performs indie/alternative music with ragtime, grunge, and jazz influences. Known for their strong vocals and poignant lyrics, their performances are full of energy and authenticity. Whether solo or with a band, their sound is unique and memorable.

"A fan once told me I'm like a combination of Bo Bernham and Regina Spektor. Someone else said I'm like if Norah Jones grew up listening to punk and grunge. I'd say I'm like if Jack Black started singing Neutral Milk Hotel songs in a female voice as if he was Liza Minnelli in Cabaret."

Indie Folk
LUCAS POWELL
An indie folk rock singer-songwriter based in metro-Detroit. Inspired by artists like Pinegrove and The War on Drugs Lucas uses autobiographical storytelling to invite the audience to collectively sing, celebrate, grieve, and introspect.
Sounds like the internal monologue going through your mind when you were forced to go to Sunday school even though you didn't want to - aka it's sad folk for sad folk.

GEORGE MONTRELLE

Sounds like Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, Ben Harper, Allen Stone.
